OIL PREHEATERS / OUTFLOW HEATERS
FUEL OIL PRE-HEATERS
Hi-Therm's Fuel Oil Pre-heaters are used to preheat fuel oil to the required firing temperature of about 100 degree cent. to reduce the viscosity for furnace oil having Redwood viscosity 1500 sec at 38 degree cent. In some cases they are used as a “booster heater” to bring the temperature of oil up to firing level, which was earlier cooled down due to pipeline losses. These Fuel Oil Pre-heaters consist of one or more tubular type immersion heating elements or renewable cartridge type heating elements. The former element is suitable for either horizontal or vertical mounting, but the latter one is meant for horizontal mounting only. Inlet to the heater can be provided from bottom, side or top ends, however the outlet connection to the heater must be from top only.
Hi-Therm's Outflow Heaters are used to reduce the viscosity of furnace oil and thereby enabling an easy flow through pipelines and decreasing the load on transfer pumps. These Heaters consist of one or more renewable cartridge type heating elements, thermostat, indicating bulb, dial thermometer, air-break contactor and matching flange. In Outflow Heaters, only that quantity of oil is heated up to about 50 degree cent, which is flowing out of the tank.
Hi-Therm's Oil Filter is a basket type filter with various mesh sizes suiting various operations. These filters provide fine filtering to the furnace oil thereby avoiding the choking of oil nozzles and stabilizing the firing rate. Using these filters ensures that sludge free oil is supplied to the burner for better atomization and combustion. Two basket filters are combined to give duty cum stand by operation. A changeover valve is provided on the filter to select the basket through which the oil is to be filtered.
